Red Lobster’s Cheese Biscuit Loaf

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese, cut into ¼-inch cubes
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 3 tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cayenne, and black pepper.
  3. Stir in the cheddar cheese cubes until they are well-coated with the flour mixture.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, sour cream, melted butter, and egg.
  5. Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, mixing just until combined. The batter will be thick.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before taking the loaf out of the pan. Allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
