Homemade Stromboli

Homemade Stromboli Delight

And just like that, you’ve created a homemade Stromboli masterpiece! Slice it up, dip into your favorite sauce, and enjoy the layers of cheesy, meaty goodness in every bite. Perfect for a family meal or a crowd-pleasing dish at your next gathering. Happy baking!

Ready to make something irresistibly cheesy and satisfying? This simple homemade Stromboli recipe turns basic ingredients into a mouth-watering, savory feast. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube of Pillsbury pizza crust: The perfect base for your Stromboli creation.
  • 8 slices of deli ham: For a juicy, flavorful layer.
  • 10 slices of Genoa salami: Adding a rich, slightly spicy kick.
  • 12 slices of sandwich pepperoni: Because pepperoni makes everything better!
  • 8 slices of provolone or mozzarella cheese: Choose your favorite, or mix both for an extra gooey filling. Shredded works too!
  • 2 tablespoons of butter: To carry those delicious garlic and herb flavors.
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced: For that irresistible aroma.
  • 2 teaspoons of chopped parsley: Adding a fresh, herby touch.
  • 3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese: For that salty, cheesy finish.

Directions:

  1. Prepare the butter mixture: Melt the butter and stir in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and grated Parmesan. This will be the flavorful spread for your Stromboli.
  2. Set up your baking surface: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the pizza dough onto the sheet, gently stretching it to fit.
  3. Layer the meats: Start by placing the ham evenly over the dough. Next, add the salami, followed by the pepperoni, spreading them evenly for a perfect balance of flavors.
  4. Add the cheese: Lay slices of provolone or mozzarella on top of the meats, or sprinkle shredded cheese evenly for a gooey finish.
  5. Roll and seal: Roll the dough lengthwise into a log, tucking and pinching the seam underneath to prevent the cheese from spilling out during baking.
  6. Score and spread: Make a few shallow cuts across the top to let steam escape, then brush on the garlic butter mixture for a golden, flavorful crust.
  7. Bake: Follow the baking instructions on the pizza dough package. Typically, it bakes just like a pizza, no pre-baking needed!

Chef’s Note:

  • Customize your sauce: While traditional Stromboli includes sauce inside, serving it on the side for dipping is a great option. Feel free to adjust this to your taste!
