Healthy Chocolate Banana Bread

This Healthy Chocolate Banana Bread is the perfect way to use up those extra bananas! It’s oil-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free, so you can enjoy it guilt-free. With a rich, fudgy brownie-like texture, this banana bread is both indulgent and healthy!

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 60g (¼ cup) nut butter (almond, peanut, cashew, or sunflower seed butter)
  • 70g (⅓ cup) granular sweetener (erythritol or coconut sugar)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅙ tsp sea salt
  • 150g (1 ½ cups) oat flour, whole wheat, or all-purpose flour
  • 50g (½ cup) cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 50g (½ cup) chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 20 cm (8-inch) loaf pan with parchment paper or grease with oil.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add in the nut butter and eggs, and mix until combined.
  3. Stir in your sweetener of choice, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Whisk the mixture for about two minutes until well combined.
  4. Add the oat flour (or your preferred flour), cocoa powder, and baking powder. Stir the mixture thoroughly, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, and optionally top with extra chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then remove and let it cool completely before slicing.
