Best Banana Bread Recipe

This moist, easy, and delicious banana bread is the best you’ll ever try! It’s the perfect way to use up overripe bananas and freezes beautifully for later enjoyment.

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional), plus extra for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8.5×4.5-inch loaf pan or spray with baking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas and melted butter. Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Sprinkle the baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt over the banana mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Fold in the flour and walnuts or chocolate chips, mixing just until no streaks of flour remain.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, and if desired, sprinkle extra nuts or chocolate chips on top.
