Apple Pie Filling Coffee Cake

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 package white cake mix (for a 2-layer cake)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1–1½ tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, cinnamon, sour cream, eggs, and water. Mix with a hand mixer until smooth and well combined.
  2. Pour and Add Apple Filling: Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spoon the apple pie filling evenly over the top of the batter.
  3. Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the cake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Make the Glaze: While the cake cools, mix the confectioners’ sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Glaze the Cake: Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake, slice, and enjoy!
