Ingredients
- 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hash browns, thawed
- 8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 can (10¾ oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the chopped onion, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir in the sour cream and cream of chicken soup until well mixed. Add the thawed hash browns and melted butter, then stir until everything is combined.
- Assemble the Casserole: Grease a 9×11-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Spread the hash brown mixture evenly in the dish. Top with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and golden brown on top.
