Caramel Apple Pie Bombs are bite-sized delights filled with warm, spiced apple pie filling and gooey caramel, all wrapped in soft biscuit dough. Brushed with melted butter and cinnamon sugar, these mini desserts are easy to make and perfect for a sweet, single-serving treat!
Ingredients:
For the Bombs:
- 1 (16.3 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 8 caramel candies
- 1 tbsp butter, plus 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 apples, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
For Topping:
- Cinnamon sugar (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
- Prepare the Apple Pie Filling: In a medium skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 5 minutes until the apples are tender. Set aside.
- Assemble the Bombs: Take the refrigerated biscuits and gently stretch each one into a circle. Place 1 tablespoon of the apple pie filling in the center, then add a caramel candy on top.
- Seal the Bombs: Pinch the edges of the biscuit dough together, sealing in the filling. Roll them into a smooth ball shape and place them into the prepared baking dish.
- Add Toppings: Brush the tops of the dough balls with melted butter, then sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake: Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve: Transfer the baked Caramel Apple Pie Bombs to a platter and enjoy warm!
