Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until light and creamy, about 3 minutes.
- Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and continue beating for another 2 minutes. (If you’re adding flavor extract, do so now, but limit to 2 teaspoons.)
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl and beat again for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add the flour and baking powder, mixing until well combined. (Optional: Fold in up to 1 cup of extras like chocolate chips or dried cranberries.)
- Scoop the dough into mounds using a cookie scoop, placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving 2 inches between each.
- Bake at 320°F for 12 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Dust the warm cookies generously with confectioner’s sugar. Let them cool completely before storing.
