Ingredients

  • Square Pretzels (Snaps): These make the perfect base with enough space to hold the caramel and chocolate without overflowing. Regular pretzel twists work as a substitute.
  • Rolo Candy: Unwrap regular-sized Rolos (not the mini ones!) for a rich caramel and chocolate topping.
  • Pink and Red M&M’s: Use the Valentine’s Day mix with pink, red, and white for the ultimate festive touch.
  • Valentine’s Sprinkles: Heart-shaped or any other fun holiday-themed sprinkles complete the look.

How to Make Valentine’s Caramel Pretzel Bites

  1. Prepare the Pan:
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Arrange pretzels in rows, adding as many as you like.
  2. Add the Rolo Candy:
Unwrap Rolos and place one on top of each pretzel.
  3. Melt the Candy:
Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and bake for about 4 minutes, just until the Rolos soften.
  4. Decorate Quickly:
    • Remove from the oven and immediately press an M&M into the center of each Rolo.
    • Sprinkle your desired amount of Valentine’s sprinkles on top.
    • Work row by row to ensure the Rolos don’t cool before you finish decorating.
  5. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the bites cool at room temperature for 2 hours, or speed up the process by refrigerating them for 20–30 minutes.
    • Enjoy them warm for a soft and gooey treat, or at room temperature for a firmer bite.

Tips for Success

  • Work Quickly: The Rolos set fast, so decorate each row before moving on to the next.
  • Make as Many as You Want: Fill the cookie sheet or make just a few – the cooking time remains the same.
  • Storage: Store leftovers at room temperature in an airtight container – no need to refrigerate.

These Caramel Pretzel Bites are an irresistible combination of salty pretzels, creamy caramel, and festive toppings – perfect for Valentine’s Day or any occasion! ❤️

These Valentine’s Day Caramel Pretzel Bites are the perfect combination of salty and sweet, featuring pretzels, Rolo candy, colorful pink and red M&M’s, and festive heart-shaped sprinkles. They’re easy to make and ideal for celebrating the holiday with a fun treat.

Ingredients

  • 60 Pretzel Snaps (square-shaped pretzels)

  • 60 Rolo candies, unwrapped

  • Valentine’s Mix M&M’s (pink, red, and white)

  • Heart-shaped or Valentine’s Day-colored sprinkles

Directions

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Heat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, a Silpat liner, or aluminum foil.
  • Arrange the Pretzels:
  • Place the pretzel snaps on the prepared cookie sheet. Unwrap the Rolo candies and place one on the center of each pretzel.
  • Bake the Pretzels:
  • Bake for 4-5 minutes, just until the Rolos become glossy. They should remain intact and not break apart.
  • Add M&M’s and Sprinkles:
  • Immediately press one M&M on top of each Rolo and gently press down.
  • Sprinkle the warm candies with festive heart-shaped or Valentine’s Day sprinkles.
  • Tip: Work one row at a time. After placing M&M’s on each pretzel, go back to sprinkle each one before moving to the next row.
  • Cool the Bites:
  • Allow the bites to cool at room temperature for about 2 hours, allowing the chocolate to firm up.
  • To speed up the process, you can refrigerate the tray for 20-30 minutes.
  • Store:
  • Store the leftover pretzel bites in an airtight container at room temperature.
