Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese šŸ•šŸ§€

Get ready to indulge in the ultimate comfort food with this Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese! A delicious fusion of classic grilled cheese and pizza, it’s perfect for a quick lunch or a cozy dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread (your choice, white or whole grain)
  • 8 slices of pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons marinara or pizza sauce
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Bread: Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread for that perfect golden crisp.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich: On the non-buttered side of two slices, spread 1 tablespoon of marinara sauce each. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Layer 4 slices of pepperoni on each. Add a pinch of oregano and garlic powder (if using). Top with the remaining mozzarella and close the sandwiches with the other slices, butter side facing out.
  3. Cook the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Gently press down with a spatula to help the cheese melt evenly.
  4. Serve: Slice the sandwiches in half and serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
