Moist Banana Bread Recipe

This easy banana bread recipe is a mildly sweet, moist quick bread that everyone will love! With simple ingredients and easy steps, it’s bound to become your go-to for a delicious treat.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened) or vegetable oil
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ⅓ cups mashed bananas (about 4 small bananas)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and flour an 8×4-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash bananas with a fork to yield 1 ⅓ cups.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar using a hand mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract and mashed bananas.
  5. Gently stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Be sure not to overbake.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
