Ingredients

  • 16 oz frozen French fries
  • 8–10 oz cheddar cheese, shredded (shred from block for best melt)
  • 12 oz bacon, diced and cooked until crisp
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • Sea salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Bacon: Dice raw bacon into 1-inch pieces and cook in a skillet until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  2. Bake Fries: Preheat oven according to package instructions (typically 400°F). Spread fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake until golden and crispy.
  3. Prep Toppings: While fries are baking, shred cheese and chop green onions.
  4. Assemble Loaded Fries: Remove baked fries from oven and season lightly with salt and pepper. Layer with cheese, bacon, and some green onions.
  5. Melt Cheese: Return fries to the oven for a few minutes until cheese is melted.
  6. Finish & Serve: Drizzle with ranch dressing and sprinkle remaining green onions on top. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Tips & Variations

  • Add Protein: Top with cooked ground beef, turkey, or chicken for a heartier meal.
  • Alternative Sauces: Substitute ranch with bleu cheese, chipotle ranch, or your favorite fry sauce.
  • Extra Flavor: Sprinkle with smoked paprika or garlic powder before baking for a flavor boost.
  • Air Fryer Option: Use an air fryer if your basket is large enough; cook fries according to fryer instructions and top as usual.

These simple loaded fries are a crowd-pleasing snack or meal that’s quick, easy, and customizable to your taste!
