Deviled Chicken Wings Recipe

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 40-50 minutes
Total time: 50-60 minutes
Servings: 10 wings

Ingredients

  • 10 chicken wings
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ⅓ cup hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wings: Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the Dry Rub: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, baking powder, chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Coat the Wings: Pour the dry rub over the wings and toss until they’re evenly coated.
  4. Bake: Arrange the wings in a single layer on a rack set over a baking sheet. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 40-50 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and nicely browned.
  5. Make the Sauce: While the wings bake, combine hot sauce, honey, and butter in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally until melted. Lower heat and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Toss Wings in Sauce: When the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the sticky sauce over the wings and toss to coat generously.
  7. Serve: Serve immediately with ranch or your favorite dipping sauce to cool down the spice.

Tips & Variations

  • Want to make a bigger batch? Simply double or triple the recipe.
  • If you prefer less heat, skip the chili powder or use a milder hot sauce.
  • Customize the spice level by choosing your favorite hot sauce or adjusting the amount of chili powder.

Enjoy these devilishly delicious wings as a crowd-pleasing appetizer for Halloween parties or any occasion that calls for bold, sticky, and spicy bites!
