Creamy Lemon Feta Pasta — A Bright, Comforting Weeknight Favorite

If you’re craving a cozy meal that comes together fast, this Creamy Lemon Feta Pasta needs to be on your dinner menu. It’s rich, tangy, velvety, and surprisingly simple — so much so that it has become a go-to in my home for busy weeknights.

✨ Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Garlic
  • Asparagus, trimmed and chopped
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Lemon zest + lemon juice
  • Feta cheese, crumbled (preferably Saputo)
  • Butter
  • Heavy cream
  • Flour
  • Fresh parsley
  • Salt & pepper
  • Linguine pasta

Step 1: Create the Lemon Feta Mixture

Whisk together lemon zest, juice, and olive oil, then stir in the crumbled feta until creamy. Set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Asparagus & Garlic

Sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant, then add asparagus and cook until tender-crisp.

Step 3: Build the Cream Sauce

Make a rich stovetop sauce with butter, cream, flour slurry, parsley, salt, and pepper.

Step 4: Cook the Pasta

Boil linguine in salted water until just shy of al dente.

Step 5: Bring It Together

Add pasta to the hot cream sauce, remove from heat, fold in the lemon feta mixture, and finish with the cooked asparagus.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

Top with extra feta or parsley and dig in!

Ingredients

For the Asparagus:

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 oz asparagus, trimmed and chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper

For the Lemon Feta Sauce:

  • Zest & juice of 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 cup crumbled feta (preferably Saputo)
  • Salt & pepper

For the Pasta Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp water
  • ½ cup chopped parsley
  • Salt & pepper
  • 400g cooked linguine

Method

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    Boil linguine in salted water until just shy of al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. Prepare the Lemon Feta Sauce:
    Whisk lemon zest, juice, and olive oil together. Stir in feta and black pepper until creamy.
  3. Cook Asparagus:
    Heat oil in a skillet. Sauté garlic, then asparagus for 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make the Hot Sauce:
    In the same skillet, melt butter, add cream, and simmer. Stir in flour/water slurry; cook until thickened. Add parsley, salt, and pepper.
  5. Combine:
    Toss pasta in the cream sauce, remove from heat, add lemon feta sauce, and fold in asparagus.
  6. Serve:
    Garnish with extra feta or parsley and enjoy!
