Cinnamon Swirl Bread

This easy cinnamon swirl bread is the ultimate quick bread—ready in just 10 minutes of prep! No blenders, no complicated steps, just simple ingredients and a gorgeous, swirled pattern in every slice. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon treat.

Ingredients:

  • ⅓ cup white sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine ⅓ cup sugar with cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 cup sugar.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vegetable oil. Pour into the flour mixture and stir until smooth.
  5. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon sugar.
  6. Using a knife, draw swirls and zigzags through the batter for a beautiful marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, checking doneness with a bamboo skewer—it should come out clean. Let the bread cool completely before slicing.

Storage & Freezing:

  • Keeps up to 3 days at room temperature or 7 days in the refrigerator.
  • To freeze, wrap cooled bread in foil or cling film (double layer), then thaw overnight at room temperature.

Tips:

  • Sift flour to make the bread extra fluffy.
  • Don’t over-swirl, or the cinnamon layers will blend together.
  • For a fresh twist, add 1 tbsp of orange zest to the batter.

This cinnamon swirl bread is soft, moist, and bursting with flavor—a simple homemade treat that looks as good as it tastes!
