Christmas Tree Pizza – A Fun Holiday Meal for Kids

If your kids love pizza, they’ll love this festive twist — Mini Christmas Tree Pizzas! Cute, tasty, and so easy to make, these pizzas are perfect for a fun Christmas dinner, holiday party snack, or even as a surprise in your child’s lunchbox.

Pizza is always a kid favorite in our house (breakfast, lunch, or dinner — they’d eat it anytime if I let them!). This adorable Christmas Tree Pizza is not only festive but also simple enough for kids to help make. It’s a great way to get them excited about holiday cooking and family time in the kitchen.

We love making small pizzas like muffin tin pizzas and handheld mini pizza pies, but this pizza tree is especially perfect for the holiday season.

What You’ll Need to Make Christmas Tree Pizza

The star of this recipe is the tree-shaped cookie cutter! Along with that, you’ll need:

  • Pizza dough (store-bought, refrigerated, or homemade)
  • Pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Mini pepperoni

You can also add “ornaments” with toppings like diced red and green bell peppers, olives, or any of your kids’ favorite veggies.

Choosing the Pizza Dough

Almost any pizza base will work here:

  • Store-bought ready-to-bake pizza dough (our go-to)
  • Refrigerated pizza dough like Pillsbury
  • Naan bread or other flatbreads
  • Pre-baked crusts cut into tree shapes
  • Even pizza toast if you don’t have dough on hand!

And of course, if you enjoy baking from scratch, you can always make your own homemade pizza dough.

Ingredients (Makes about 10 Mini Pizzas)

  • Pizza dough (rolled out, store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup mini pepperoni
  • ¼ cup pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Use the tree-shaped cookie cutter to cut pizza dough into festive tree shapes.
  3. Place trees on the baking sheet and spread each with a little pizza sauce.
  4. Top with cheese, pepperoni, and any extra toppings you like.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy your Christmas Tree Pizza!
