  • Crowd-Pleasing – Crispy chicken + creamy sauce = guaranteed hit
  • Elegant Yet Simple – Perfect for entertaining or a cozy dinner at home

🛒 Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¾ cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter

For the Basil Cream Sauce:

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

🍴 Instructions

1. Prep the Chicken Cutlets

  • Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Slice each chicken breast horizontally to create 4 thin cutlets. Pound them to ½-inch thickness.
  • Set up two shallow bowls: one with milk and one with breadcrumbs. Dip each cutlet in milk, then coat in breadcrumbs.

2. Sear the Chicken

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook cutlets until golden brown on both sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  • Transfer cutlets to the baking dish and place in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).

3. Make the Basil Cream Sauce

  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add chicken broth and bring to a boil, scraping up browned bits.
  • Stir in cream, bring to a light boil, then reduce heat.
  • Add Parmesan, fresh basil, and black pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes until thickened.

4. Serve

  • Plate the chicken and spoon warm basil cream sauce over the top.
  • Garnish with extra basil or Parmesan if desired. Serve with pasta, rice, or veggies for a complete meal.
