Cheesy Garlic Cruffin

Indulge in these Cheesy Chive Garlic Cruffins—a delightful twist on traditional muffins! Made with crescent roll dough, these cruffins are filled with a savory garlic butter and gooey cheddar cheese. They’re rolled, cut, and baked in a muffin tin for a golden-brown treat that’s perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients
Dough:

3 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll sheets
Filling:

½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
3 cups (339 g) mild cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
Garlic Butter:

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chives, finely chopped
1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a standard 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

Prepare the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out each tube of crescent roll dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle. If using perforated dough, pinch the seams to seal.

Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped chives, and minced garlic. Spread about ⅓ of this mixture over one sheet of dough. Evenly sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Roll and Cut: Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut the log in half, then cut each half lengthwise to create four sections of dough. Repeat this process with the remaining sheets to create a total of 12 sections.

Shape the Cruffins: Take one section of dough, keeping the layered side facing out, and roll it tightly into a cinnamon roll shape, tucking in the end piece. Place each cruffin into the prepared muffin tin.

Bake: Bake the cruffins for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Prepare the Garlic Butter: While the cruffins are baking, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped chives, and kosher salt in a small bowl.

Finish and Serve: Once baked, brush the warm cruffins with the garlic butter topping. Enjoy your delicious cheesy chive garlic cruffins warm!

Perfect for any occasion, these cruffins are sure to impress with their cheesy filling and aromatic garlic butter.
