Cheese-Filled Garlic Knots

These cheese-filled garlic knots are soft, pillowy, and packed with gooey, melted cheese, all brushed with a rich, buttery garlic sauce. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish, they’re the ultimate crowd-pleaser and so simple to make at home. Once you try them, you’ll never go back to plain garlic knots!

Why You’ll Love Them

  • Cheesy Goodness: Every bite is filled with melty mozzarella for the ultimate cheesy treat.
  • Garlic Lover’s Dream: Brushed with a buttery garlic sauce, these knots are packed with flavor.
  • Soft & Pillowy: Light, fluffy dough with a warm, cheesy center.
  • Quick & Easy: Perfect for beginners and busy cooks—ready in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

For the Garlic Butter:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Dough

Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces. Flatten each piece into a small rectangle or circle.

3. Fill the Knots

Place about 1 tablespoon of mozzarella in the center of each dough piece. Fold over the dough and pinch edges tightly to seal, then tie into a knot.

4. Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.

5. Make the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Brush the mixture generously over each knot.

6. Bake

Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.

7. Optional Finishing Touch

For extra flavor, brush more garlic butter over the knots right after baking. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Tips & Variations

  • Seal well: Prevent cheese from leaking during baking.
  • Extra cheese: Add provolone, cheddar, or a mix for a fun twist.
  • Make ahead: Freeze knots before baking for a quick snack later.
  • Gluten-free option: Use your favorite gluten-free pizza dough.

How to Serve

  • Snack: Perfect for movie night or casual gatherings.
  • Side dish: Pairs beautifully with pasta, pizza, or salads.
  • Dipping sauces: Marinara, ranch, or extra garlic butter.
