Ingredients

For the Beef:

  • ¼ cup (60 ml) soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp oyster sauce

  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) water
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch

For the Stir Fry:

  • 8 oz (225 g) noodles (egg noodles, udon, or rice noodles)
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil, divided
  • 2 cups (200 g) broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Optional Garnish:

  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef
    Toss the beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes while you prep the other ingredients.
  2. Cook the Noodles
    Cook according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  3. Mix the Sauce
    In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch.
  4. Stir-Fry the Beef
    Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. Cook the Vegetables
    Add the remaining oil to the skillet. Stir fry broccoli, bell pepper, and carrot for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add garlic and ginger; cook for 30 seconds.
  6. Combine Everything
    Return the beef to the skillet. Pour in the sticky sauce and cook 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add Noodles & Serve
    Toss in the noodles and mix until evenly coated. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot!
