Bacon Brie Crescent Wreath

Looking for a delicious appetizer that also makes a stunning centerpiece? This cheesy, savory crescent ring is perfect for holiday gatherings! It combines the rich, creamy flavor of brie with the sweet tang of cranberry sauce and the savory crunch of bacon, all wrapped in golden, flaky crescent rolls. Plus, if you’re looking for a vegetarian option, sautéed mushrooms are a great substitute for the bacon.

Why You’ll Love It:

  • Quick and easy to make with just a few ingredients
  • Visually impressive and perfect for a festive spread
  • Versatile—can be served as an appetizer or a main dish
  • Can be made vegetarian with a simple substitution of mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 2 (8-oz) tubes of crescent rolls
  • 1/3 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 (12-oz) wheel of brie, cut into cubes
  • 8 slices of cooked and crumbled bacon (or sautéed mushrooms for a vegetarian option)
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the crescent rolls, separating each triangle, and arrange them in a sunburst pattern with the pointed ends facing outward, allowing the bases to overlap.
  2. Spread cranberry sauce evenly on the dough. Add the brie cubes and crumbled bacon (or sautéed mushrooms). Fold the tips of the triangles over the filling and tuck them under the base to secure.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs and brush the top of the dough with the egg wash. Sprinkle with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm.

This appetizer is perfect for any holiday celebration, combining savory, sweet, and creamy flavors in every bite!
